Welcome, information on this blog is to provide ideas and resources for those participating in the Gimme Shelter workshop, which is part of FESTA 2014, in Christchurch. It has been initiated by Gap Filler, supported by Creative Junk and created by me, Simon for young people to explore ideas around architecture and shelters.
I ran a similar workshop at Capital E in Wellington called Lets Play City, where over a two week period young people and their families built a huge cardboard city imagining what they wanted in their city. For the Gimme Shelter workshop we have two hours, not two weeks but that wont stop us from building some great structures as part of FESTA 2014.
